Dak Lak expects boom in hydro-power projects

Recent surveys and feasibility studies have spotted almost 100 points ideal for the construction of medium- and small-sized hydro-power plants in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak.

Investors have so far finalised blueprints for 21 projects with a combined capacity of 106 MW at a cost of almost 2 trillion VND in total.

The province has recently had Krong Hin 2 hydro-power plant in Mdrak district put into operation meanwhile the Krong Kma plant is expected to get commissioned by early 2008.
